Good lap-desk for the price. Had hoped to use it across the arms of a chair for my laptop, but it bows a bit without a pillow under it. But it's a nice width with plenty of surface area. It's thin enough to fit inconspicuously next to a chair.
My son also uses it on his lap for homework-- it's wide enough for a big text book as well as writing materials.

Have very limited space. I'm a student and needed a make-shift desk or something to use for writing while I sit between bed and dresser. It is wide enough to use. Most others are not. I have a very similar one handed down to me that is about 15+ years old, but it is thinner than this one and really rough looking. I like this new one's better thickness and sturdyness to hold more without sagging and it's attractive finish. I also liked the price.

best for occasional use and do not want a desk which takes up too much space; easy storage. I wish there is a layer of non-slip material on the underside to improve the stability of the desk against the arms of the chair

We have purchased one of these lap trays for every memeber of the family. We use them as trays for eating on like a TV tray and for writing on like a desk. They are lightweight and are a MUST in our household.

I ordered 2 of these about 8 or 9 years ago. Here I am ordering 2 more for gifts. I am still using my original 2. I absolutely love them. We use them for meals and our laptops and just about for anything that needs a nice smooth surface.

PROBLEM: a computer was placed in the center of a small, narrow, L-shaped desk; and the keyboard and mouse were placed to the right of the screen above the drawers where there was no leg space.

SOLUTION: two lap desks are held together back-to-back with the included rubber straps and placed over the open corner in front of the computer screen; this sturdy, non-slip desk extension provides room for keyboard, mouse and note pads; this configuration is ergonomic as it returns the chair to the center leg opening and ensures proper posture and arm position for typing.
