I was unexpectedly delighted with the quality of the potato chips that the product produced. Unfortunately the plastic that supported the chips melted in spots!!!

makes a nice gift for young kids (w/ adult supervision) - my grandkids enjoyed being able to make their own chips and each could flavor to their choice. i ordered 3 last year and more this year.

I tried to do the potatoe chips. They came out ok but, I don't think that I will do them again. I will use the gadget for slicing other things.

I found it useful only as decoration. The idea is great, The first time i tried it i choose a small potato about the size of 1/2 my fist. it did quite well. nothing resembling a real potato chip. The second time I used a large potato fist size. It did not begin to brown in 5minutes, reset 5 minutes , they did not brown at all to many potatoes, too crowded , made leather patches the dog wouldn't eat, he buried them.I would like my money back, I bought two, one for a friend.
disappointed

The first time I used it the potato slices were too long, didn't fit well. You have to use small potatoes or cut a regular potato in quarters before slicing. The chips start to darken before fully cooked and only half the chip gets crispy. I was not able to eat most of the chips I cooked. I like the idea of chips without frying in oil, so I will try again til I get it right.

Instant Chips

I was very skeptical about this item, but thought I'd give it a shot anyway, and I'm glad I did. Instructions are very simple and the rack holds the chips without any problem. We had to experiment a bit with cooking times and found out you have to wait until the chips are completely cooled for them to be crispy. We are also trying out different flavors of salts (our local market has various salts for popcorn that work well with these chips). I would like to see this item a little bigger, but if you're just looking for a plate of chips to go with dinner or as a snack, this item will work just fine.

Small and not that great
By Ryan

This is a very small product. It's a little bit bigger than your hand, so it would take many batches to microwave your chips even from one potato. The slicer is okay, but difficult to slice quickly and evenly. It's definitely not as sharp of a blade as it needs to be. I'll stick to using my garlic slicer to slice my potato chips.

Handy device with many uses

Good and very easy to use...I am still experimenting with various items; onions, apples with more trials to follow. Love the "nesting" of the whole package for compact storage .... sure beats having to chase down slicer & capturing bowl & and finger safe "pusher"and a micro-safe rack.....all this and dishwasher Ok.... WOULD recommend and might get another
