Shoe and Sock Aid

At last an aid that works for putting on socks by yourself. This is the forth one we have tried and it's definately the easiest to use. My handicaped husband can use it to put on socks and shoes without help. It would be a little large for travel but we are homebound.

Socks=OK / Compression Hose Not so good.
The best thing about it is it's all white and it's flexable. You need to set on the handal so you can use both hands. It only works half way when putting on your compression hose. But that is a little better than not having one.You can get your foot most of the way on befor the hose slips off.Belive me when I say that is a BIG help.
Not as easy as it looks

My old sock valet is cracking so I decided to buy a new one. This valet didn't help at all. I tried to use it but was unable to get into position to put on my sock.

With arthritis in hips and hands, it was impossible to get my socks on. I always had to have help. This product makes me more independent in getting dressed.
More flexibility would be nice

The foot valet aid works, however, the plastic is a big too stiff and has a tendency to scratch my leg as it is being pulled out of the sock. Also, it would be easier to get a sock onto it if the sides were a bit more flexible.

With arthritis I have trouble putting on my socks. This foot valet solved the problem. Easy to use and does what it says it will do. The only thing I don't like is the handle is a little too long, so I have to turn my foot. But it is easy enough to do.
