This item was a disappointment. The foam tubing needs to be larger around and longer to be really effective, and the sleeve is sewn together in a seemingly haphazard fashion. The concept is great. The execution not so great.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

Very Useful Energy Saver

This is one of the most useful products I've ever purchased. Works like a charm and is VERY easy to "install". It looks great and does the job.
Not crazy about it.
Old house and won't fit door I purchased it for
from Davenport, WA
The draft guards are totally worthless to me. The guards won't stay on the bottom of the door when I open the door. I don't know if my door is thicker than normal doors, but the guard doesn't fit. I was very disappointed.
more of an irritant with my carpet
from Ogden, UT
The idea behind this is great, I have purchased for both my sons, and they love it and it works very well for them. In my case, I have a piece that comes down from the door close to the carpet and there is not enough room, the styrofoam rounds tend to stick and then fold under the door and has become more of an irritant than an effective use in my situation. We use it on the inside of the door instead.

Does move with the door as described, but "door snakes" are not large enough to well block the gap between the bottom of my door and the floor (which I have been told are standard height off the floor at 7/8"). Would recommend buying extra tall version unless your doors fit very close to your floor.
I used these to seal up the gaps in the doors to the knee closets of my 50+ year old home. They were very effective last winter.
