Comments about Toilet Seat Risers:
This toilet extension is wonderful! I put it on the bottom of my toilet seat and it raised it up 4 inches. I have bad knees and arthritis. Instead of buying a new higher toilet this raises it up to a comfortable height. I got one for my Mom & 91 yr old neighbor too.

It may not be pretty but it does the job
from Brooklyn Park, MN
My wife needed this raiser but I have no problem with using it also. All other raisers that I have seen prevent the closing of the lid this one does not and that's the main thing I like about it. It was easy to install, about 10 minutes. This last order was for our daughter who saw ours and desired one also.

We found it easy to install and very comfortable

I was looking for a seat riser that did not add too much to the height and was easy to install (and remove as necessary). This looked like it fit the bill, and indeed it works very well.

It works and is easy to install but...

About Me Caregiver
Product uses velcro to attach white plastic blocks, thus can't be completely removed without replacing the toilet seat. It also looks unattractive because of the openings" between the toilet bowl and seat. And is harder to clean. A donut-like solid version, is available on the market which would probably look better and can be easily and completely removed without damage to the toilet seat.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Daughter
The price was right, and as it was difficult to find a riser that was only 2 inches tall, this was our only answer for my mother, who is an invalid, wheelchair-bound. Once installed, the seat moved (slid) as the blocks were hard plastic and were not stable on the toilet bowl rim. We ended up having to buy Velcro to help hold the bars in place on the bottom rim, which means not being able to clean as well. There was also a problem with the bolts fitting well. Since the bars were stabilized, and as long as no heavy-set people sit on the seat, the risers work fairly well.
