Bought this as a birthday gift for a friend who has backyard hens. She was pleased with the design but told me she couldn't fit her jumbo or double yolker eggs (she has large breeds of hens who lay very large eggs). The lid would smash the eggs when closed. After she told me of the problem, I did not order one for myself. Nice design idea but just not tall enough for our hens' big eggs. We recommend this carton but only for holding regular large (not XL) eggs.

I buy organic eggs from cage-free hens, and they come in recycled cartons, so now I transfer them to my own container which I know is clean. I thought the eggs I get were large, but so far, I haven't had a problem with them fitting.

This is a great idea that, unfortunately, does not work. I had to cut the top off to use this in the fridge as it is too short for large or jumbo eggs, which is what I buy. If you use small eggs, this would be fine. But with large one, if you close the lid, you smash the eggs. Oh well...

This was exactly what I was looking for to replace the egg cartons that fall apart. However, you cannot fit any large eggs in this and close. This is made for mini eggs. A complete waste of time if you buy larger eggs.

We buy 3 dozen eggs at a time. This is exactly what we needed to store the eggs without reusing the Styrofoam egg cartons. We have been looking for these for a while. We ordered 3 egg storage containers.

This is not what I expected. True, the containers that I was shipped do hold more eggs (two dozen)but I was going to personalize these cartons for a Christmas gift but this is not really possible because of the different lid and color. I hope it works ok to store eggs.

I purchased two egg containers. They looked very nice, however that week I decided to purchase Jumbo eggs, and Jumbo eggs fit into the container,but the container DOES NOT CLOSE. So remember NO JUMBO EGGS FOR THIS CONTAINER.

I wish the egg storage container could hold larger eggs. I buy farm fresh eggs and sometimes I get large eggs and the lid won't close due to the larger eggs. I tried once and broke the larger eggs. The container is great and doesn't not get damp like the cardboard ones. Overall I am pleased with my purchases from Walter Drake, and I appreciate the low prices [...] I have purchased some for friends.

My husband does the food shopping, sometimes on his lunch break. The egg containers fall apart when they get wet in the cooler. So this egg carton container is perfect for what we needed.

I was these containers in the magazine and thought they were the best things that someone had for a long time coming just made my life easier. I love them. You don't have to worry about breaking your eggs when taking them out of the frige. I think every house should them. Yes I do recommend this product.

I like the product, design is fine for frig and stacking (if needed in frig) however, sometimes, large eggs do crack when you close the lid tightly. But overall, it products works well.
