my cat puts her claws into the side of the product to open the slider, I put clear packing tape around the side to keep her from doing that which worked and is hardly visible. Before this she tore up every screen. The tiny teeth can push right through to the other side and puncture fingers when installing. They can also come apart.I recommend this highly for anyone who has a pet that tears up screens.The best on the market so far. I have had mine for over 1 year, the cat has not put any scratches on it and the vinyl is so clear you can barely see it. Even after a year it has not yellowed.I don't remember from whom I bought this, I was looking on the Internet for someone else who wanted to buy it.
