Too flimsy, broke before I finished assembly. Only holds small plants - does not stand up to high winds.

Not too shabby
By AW
from Massachusetts
The assembly was a little difficult only because the pipe was a little bigger than the bottom tray hole. So I just scraped some of the edge of the pipe off with a screw driver. Then I carefully clicked them together so as not to crack the tray. Loosen the soil with a trowel and then you can insert them easily in the ground. They don't hold a lot of weight but they fit my 8" pots that weigh about 10lbs. They look cool and modern and I have received many compliments on them.

Impossible to put in the ground and all together without it cracking which makes it useless
VERY DISAPPOINTED!
By JJ
from KCMO
These were terrible. They would not hold any planters, they were too flimsy. They're not even worth the postage to send them back. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY~! If I could give them no stars at all, I would; even -5. I cannot explain how disappointed we are in this product. Especially since the other Walter Drake items we have received were so very good. Such a shame.
Assemble gently

Was a bit reluctant to purchase based on reviews but tried them anyway. I didn't have any issues with assembly since I was careful and dug the hole before inserting the base. You will get more stability, esp. with the taller one if you insert them a bit deeper. Obviously they are not suitable for heavy planters but I found the standard baskets display very nicely and have had no issues with cracking or plants falling over.
keep within limits and product is great!

About Me Budget Shopper
After reading other comments about this product cracking when being put together, or not being able to stand up to certain weight of planters, I still purchased these items, assembling was quick and easy, placing in ground, we made a hole first so we would not pound stand. only con is no drain hole. My stands are in the open so if it rains they fill up quickly, so we drilled a few drain holes and they work great, perfect fit for my garden..
It just doesn't hold up

Half pleased gardner
By Gma
from Buffalo, NY
They were easy to assemble, hard to get in the ground far enough so they would not fall over with the plant on it while watering. They only hold light weight plants in small pots, larger pots do not fit, and heavier pots make them crack.
Gives nice dimension to the garden.

You can't apply pressure when putting together--the top cracked. Same applies when pushing them into the ground. Absolutely love how they look in the garden.
