About Me Everyday Drinker
Comments about 2 Qt Whistling Tea Kettle:
I bought this tea kettle for my elderly mother because she saw it in the catalog and wanted to get it. I guess it is acceptable. Definitely looks retro. It's lightweight. Looks a bit smaller than what I'm used to. Not something I would want for myself, looks a bit cheap.
Barely whistles
By Disappointed Tea Drinker
from Ohio
I am not hard of hearing and I can barely hear this thing whistle while sitting six feet away from it in the kitchen. It's at a full boil and the whistle is incredibly feeble. This tea kettle would boil dry before anyone would ever hear it. Totally unacceptable.

I use it for hot tea or coffee and for prepared foods that need hot water added. Also, it put humity in the air which I need in my home.
Handle is too low and got burnt!
By Margie
from Reseda,Ca.
I boil my water in it. The handle should be higher to low and I have burnt myself. Whistle is very loud, I live in an Apt. worry for disturbing someone, especially late at night when people are sleeping.

Problem in a word ( cheap ) and not just the price. The handle is to close to the pot and you can get burn bad if your not careful. Go to the store you can find a inexpensive little pot for less.
