I got this chair pad as soon as I saw it. I had gotten one earlier{a few years ago}from another distributor -- but they no longer carried them and my old one was wearing out! So it was time to get a new one! I like this chair pad, first of all, because they're soft! But they're not bulky. That's the problem with a lot of chair pads today -- they're soft AND bulky! These are just right -- about 3 inches thick. I started to get another chair pad that Walter Drake carries. These chair pads have a special coating on them that make them easy to clean-up spills. However these would have been too small{I needed one that was 17in. wide} -- so I got this one. Another reason I got this chair pad was because THERE ARE NO TIES TO DEAL WITH! I was tired of those! Ties eventually tear-off anyways! These chair pads have a latex-backing that keep them in place. But the main reason I got these was, as I said, was because they're SOFT! And they last -- I got my last one at least a few years ago -- and that's using them EVERY DAY! When this one wears out, I'll order another one!
