I bought this product because we have an electric fireplace insert that is for esthetic purposes only. This fireplace insert did not have an on-off switch, it was either plugged in and on, or unplugged and off. This little item solved the problem.

when my professional heated hair rollers burned out I started using a smaller travel set that you just plug in .. no switch. I kept forgetting to unplug them. sometimes finding I left them plugged in for 48 hours. (freaked me out, my hubby is a fireman,talk about getting myself in a lot of trouble). So I thought there must be some sort of on off switch with a light that I could plug into. I went to 3 large home diy stores and 2 hardware stores and could not find it. then I found it here on your web site and on sale... ordered 5. plugged in my rollers and my curling iron. never forget to turn them off anymore. Showed my husband and asked if he needed any for the garage. he also said we could plug in our dvr so that when it needs to be rebooted we don't have to fish around for the plug, just flip the switch.

I have a bathroom heater that the on/off switch broke (luckily in the on position). I use this to turn the heater on and off so that I don't have to plug it in and unplug it later.

Eliminates plugging-in and unplugging appliances each time you use them. Great for the toaster. When plug is in the 'off' position it is safe and not draining any electricity. I use them all over the house. I'm buying 2 more today.

I use this product to keep my cell phone charger plugged in. Since I don't use a land-line phone, I keep my cell near my bedside and charge it overnight. It's great to just turn the switch off instead of unplugging the charger wire from the wall outlet every morning. However, the wall outlet is out in the open, and the switch, even though it's lighted red, seems rather bright in the middle of the night. I have covered most of the switch with black electrical tape to dim the light. Still a great product for this use.

I had my toaster oven catch on fire a few years ago. Now I will not leave a toaster oven stay plugged in without using this product. All you have to do is turn it off with the switch and it cuts off the power supply. Great idea!

This is a great product. I use it on my toaster and microwave in the kitchen to cut down on power usage.I was plugging and unplugging the appliances but it places wear and tear on the outlets. There are times when you just want to simply push a button or a lever and either turn on or off that cell phone charger. You do it every day and it's always in the same place. This handy little switch doesn't take up much space and is always ready. I tried one and returned to Walter Drake to buy three more, They are that good!

I purchased 1 outlet adapter. I use it in the living room. I plan to purchase more to use in other rooms in my home. It makes it easy to turn off my air purification machine, when I leave my home overnite. Can really use it in the top socket only. If used on the bottom socket, the on-off switch will be very hard to get to if something else is plugged in the top socket.
