Read the directions, then there is no sticking. I used spray shortening before putting in batter. Children should like the corn bread shape.

The corn bread stuck to the pan and had to be prized and scraped out. Also, the taste of the bread was not good like it is in a regular small iron skillet. I was very disappointed and don't entend to bake in it again. I would send it back if it didn't cost almost as much as I paid for it.
