I had these years ago and was able to drop the temperature in my house at the time by 15 degrees or more. Wonderful for those long hot summers.I like the fact that you can still see through them while they are working their magic of cooling my house.

I use these so that it will keep out the blaring sun and most of the heat while I can still see outside. I do close the venetian blinds during the direct sunlight as it is blinding from the West.They work perfect for me.

These are life-savers for us in the summer! We have window blinds instead of curtains & rods, so we just use tape to stick these up to the window behind the blinds. They really cut the heat and sunlight but still let you have a view. The large size can be cut in two to cover 2 smaller windows. The only reason I don't give these panels 5 stars is because they start to deteriorate after a few months, dropping metallic flecks which animals and kids might try to eat, so it's important to replace them when that starts. Still, a quick, easy and inexpensive way to cut the heat!

We were roasting , since 3 of our rooms get direct sunlight all day long..whew..it was HOT!!! Here in Arkanas summers are humid which makes the temps seem much worse..so I was looking for something to help keep the inside temp. kool and comfortable. When I was thumbing through your online catalog I came across your Energy-Saving Reflective Solar Curtain Panel that reflects the sun away from the inside of the house . They're very afforable, so I ordered 2 packages. They arrived shortly & my husband installed them with spring curtain rods , couldn't be easier. Oh My Gosh, within an hour the entire house was cooler !!! I couldn't believe the difference in such a short time span. I liked them so much, especially the fact you can see outside too, I had to order/send my folks a couple solar curtains, so they could keep cool in the Calif. sun. This is one chillin' deal that you can't go wrong if you want to keep the heat outside and keep chillin' inside.

Moved into a house that the AC is not carrying the heat wave load we have been having. The back side of the house gets the afternoon sun and can really heat my master bedroom and living room up. I am ordering more for my dining room today. I can really tell a differance in the temp in the house.

I used these panels at a sliding glass door where the sun beats in of a morning. They do a better job of insulating than anything I have tried there.

I have a porch with large windows exposed to South. These blinds help control heat during summer. Previously used another brand that didn't fit well. Had to be cut to fit. These are prefect size for my windows.

These solar panels REALLY work!

Living in Savannah Ga., where the heat along with the humidity,can put us well into the 100's. It has been almost impossible to maintain a "comfortable" temp indoors and has been known for the elec. bill to become higher than our actual rent....not this year. These panels have went far and beyond anything I could have imagined, preventing sunlight from entering each room I have them hung, thus far.I will be hanging in ALL rooms, for sure.

Would never purchase again!

This product is a huge disappointment. To me, it is falsely advertised because the pictures in the catalog and online show a smooth-flowing, easy-draping, wrinkle-free product. There is no way that comes remotely close to what this product is like. It is ugly, tacky-looking, and cannot be freed from the sharp fold lines across the entire surface of the curtain. Also, you don't know until you receive the product that it can't get wet, which makes its use more limited.Seeing through the curtain is very difficult -- they darken the inside of the room and the view to the outside is greatly impaired by these curtains.I would not recommend these to anyone.

it would be nice if information was given on how to get rid of those packaging folds and if it came on a optional roller, they could be more easily hidden when not used.

Our office has floor to ceiling windows facing east. By 8:00 am the heat overtakes the air conditioner and we sweat it out the rest of the day. I ordered 8 panels to cover half and to see if they really worked. It took me about 30 mins yesterday afternoon to tape up all 8 panels.This morning when I arrived at 8:20 am, the office was cool on my side. We are ordering 8 more panels for the other side. We still cannot believe the difference this thin, lightweight material has made. This stuff really works.

What drew me to this product was the advertised " you can see out...no one can see in". If you want privacy, this is the best product to use because although no one can see in, no one can see out either.

As soon as I hung them on the rods I could tell the difference in temperature inside my front rooms. Everyone thought it was foil and that I could not see through them but I could, and they have a hint of blue glow under the sheers. Since they do keep out alot of heat at this point in time I am more concerned with my utility bill then the looks...I got them just in time the temperatures here has been in the upper 90's and we are expecting triple digits all next week...my neighbor is going to get some for his Mom's apartment a few doors down from me. I think I will order a few more.

Used on large windows in old house as barrier to cold air in winter and will use to block sun glare in summer. Simple to slip on standard tension rod and the material is light weight and easy to handle. It is ugly--the bright silver finish looks like a tin foil curtain.

They really help with darkening a room with direct sunlight but it takes a couple of weeks for all the creases (from being folded)to flatten and really look bad until they do.

My eyes are very sensitive to the light, so I was hoping these would help with bright light, but they were a disappointment. No real instructions came with them. The folds lines in them seemed pretty permanant, and light shone through each of the fold lines, in little spots where the foil had rubbed off. (No, you cannot see out very well.) The curtains do reflect, but a very thin, flimsy mylar. They tear very easily. I don't recommend them for a home with cats or small children as they won't last.
