Wind !!! Not to use

About Me Casual Driver
Comments about Car Window Protector 75x118:
The products discription, was very well worded for sell. To actually have the product views a totally diferrentdiscription of the product. The plastic is to flimsy, the bundgy cords are to weak to with stand wind. There is no secure fit, the wind blew the plastic slideing up the back of the window toward the roofof the car. I took it off. The cover that is shown in the cataloge is not the cover that I received. I would not recommend this plastic covering. Maybe the one for show in the cataloge is better.
excellent,keeps frost off windows.

THIS IS GARBAGE

This product is extremely flimsy and seems to have little cuts all over it. Can't see it holding up in the wind, let lone with a frost or snow on it. Great! you can send it back, but the postage to receive it and return it cost more the the piece of plastic. You would do better cutting a heavy trash can liner! I gave it 1 star because you can't give it less. DON'T BUY

A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!
By M
from Atlanta
Two of the elastic tie downs came off the vinyl topper the first and the following two times that I attempted to hook it to the car. It was inexpensive, so I thought I would take a chance, but it is unusable. I would return it, but the item is in a different state and I could not fit it in my carry on to bring it home to ship back. It certainly was not worth the price since it is unusable. I would not recommend purchasing this item.

Think out of the box uses
By HoneyBear
from Longview, Wa
This item is used to cover the bed of an elderly person to keep it fresh all the time. It is almost perfect for this purpose. It's a little large and the connections which would work on an automobile are not set to be helpful in this instance. But this is probably 10 years of protection.
Serves the purpose but doesn't last long
By Solam

The product is not very well fitted for a car top and windows to use and does not last but it serves the purpose for covering during nighttime. It does not work outside during inclement weather when it's windy.

It seems a bit flimsy - I wondr how it will perform at minus 25ºF - will it remain flexible?
Maybe OK if no wind

The cords ripped the plastic the first time I used it. It might be OK if there were no wind with the snow.
Not what I hoped
By Tina Marie
from Woodbridge VA
I purchased several of these items after reading other reviews. I am very displeased in the product. It needed two people to install, on one of the cars the string broke while trying to put it on, on another car after we finally got it on, the thing ripped overnight due to the winds, and on another car it blew off and I have no idea where the wind took it. It's a great concept but with this flimsy material it is not worth it. It may be good for only if you get snow but if you have snow and high winds I would not recommend it. I sent mine back.
Not worth the money

About Me None
The cover stuck to the front window making it useless in getting your car on the road in a hurry. The hooks came off the car in a high wind and would have blown off if the snow hadn't held it on. Very flimsy material, one area near the hook ripped right away. It would have been a great idea if it were made better and wouldn't stick to the windows. It was overpriced at [$].

Good buy
By Ladybug

The hooks are not very open, so on my car I had to find some alternative sites to use other than wheel wells on the back. Worked fairly good on front. It does not completely cover side windows on my '92 Chev Lumina
Too Flimsy
By Emily

I bought this to protect my windshield from getting hit with sprinklers every day. Ths product is very flimsy and impossible to maneuver if there is any wind at all. I'll be returning this.
Great product for winter weather
By Eva
from Washington DC
This arrived just before a season of record-breaking snows and a couple of ice events. It was a joy to just slip off the cover (no scraping) and go! I have only one tiny complaint that it could be a little bigger.
Bad Idea

Great Product to Own
By Stay At Home Sharlene

For a few years now I wanted to own a product like this and finally ordered one for Winter 2009. I really like how it protects the winshield, windows & back window from snow. When it was windy while snowing, the cover did give me some concern if it would stay on, but it did okay.
I would have liked more coverage.

Family car. Schielding from the elements, trees and rain.
NOT WHAT I THOUGHT
By Dabuck
from Winston Salem, NC
I thought this may have some knid of a form fit, but it is just a piece of rectangular plastic. You can buy a much heavier rectangular tarp for the money and just use your own bungees. The fact that it isn't a form fit, meant that the wind kept getting underneath the edges and stretching out the cheap bungees it came with. I suggest you save your money, or just throw it away [...]
I would buy this product again.
