Comments about Energy Saving Solar Curtain Panels:
Very cheaply made. I had not realized that NO light could come in when I bought these. I thought you would be able to see out. Not true!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Midrange Shopper
Both sides look shiny to me so I don't know how I should hang them up right now.
Yes I will

They do a great job keeping down the sun exposure and heat during summer. I suppose if reversed, they might do a good job of keeping heat IN during the winter, but I don't use them for that purpose. They are also not easy to find, so I was grateful Drake carries them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

IT WORKS PERFECT IN THE WINTER

About Me High-end Shopper
I tried them first in the Summer when I bought them and It did an excellent job keeping the rooms cool, I did use them in the Cold Weather and perfect, the only problem is they are very weak material and the inserts brake easy from the curtain hangers. Other than that EXCELLENT IDEA. Really, Keep the rooms warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Need better construction.

Energy Saving Solar Curtain Panels
from Enumclaw, WA
My bedroom window is across the street from a bank and the cars that come to the ATM at night all leave their lights on shinning into my bedroom. The solar curtain blocks out their lights, plus keep the warmth in and sun out when needed. I have used the one I have for 12 years and am about ready to buy a new one.

don't have one
By Sharon the cook

Keeps my electric bill down, keeps the heat and the sun out, I have 3 big windows facing South, Large windows facing West and no trees to block the Sun. I did learn that having mini blinds will scortch from the heat, that is how well the curtain keeps the heat out of the rooms, so now I put the curtain more directly in front of the window instead of on a curtain rod, and the mini blinds stay ok that way.

energy saving solar panels for windows
I put them up in my family room and my bedroom. Keeps out hot sun and I can see if anyone is outside yet they cannot see inside to me. I live by myself and sometimes peoples pull into my drive and I want to see them before they see me.

I live in New Mexico, HOT. My home isn't the most energy efficient, OLD, but the moment I put these up on my south facing windows in my living room there was instant relief from the heat. Not kidding, INSTANT. You can still look out and no one will be able to see in. Not the best looking from the outside, reminds me of my tinfoil teenage days, but having mini blinds in front of this solar curtain and sheers on the inside of the curtains helps. I'm buying more for the rest of my windows.

If it works, I will buy again
from Detroit area, Michigan
I've only had them up for a few days. I put weights along the bottom to help them hang better and had to trim off the bottom for a better fit. Anyway you look at it they are ugly, but I don't care, my apartment is cold and I'm hoping these curtains help
