Aluminum ice cube tray
from Greensboro, NC
Comments about Aluminum Ice Cube Tray:
These trays are not robust; my wife who weighs 89 lbs. broke the rivets on one while trying to remove the ice. She did run water over the bottom of the tray and on top of the ice before trying to release the cubes. She is 82 and has arthritic hands; the rivets just popped out of the cube dividers when she pulled the release handle back.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear the trays broke. Please contact our customer service and we can assist you further.

I was looking for ice cube trays that were easy to use, and less messy than most.Instead, the handles broke the first time I tried to remove the ice cubes from the trays. The material is very flimsy, and just don't work! I feel that it was a waste of my money! Am very disappointed.

durrable ice cube trays

needed some heavy duty ice cube trays, not having very good luck with flimsy plastic ones, love these
from San Jose, CA
I grew up with this type of ice cube tray and know that they should be placed under hot water before trying to release the ice cubes and a little banging on the counter doesn't hurt either. That did not seem to help with the release. The aluminum is weak near the handle attachment. The handle attachment itself seems flimsy. The tray 'seems' to be constructed well, but this is not so. The aluminum literally tore on the ice cube section near the handle. A person shouldn't have to manhandle something to get it to work.
Didn't love them
from Montgomery, AL
OK, the first thing was one of them had a hole in it when I received it. Didn't realize it until it leaked all over my freezer. The other two were fine but honestly getting the ice out is a major pain. I end up running water over them and then the ice freezes together in the bucket. Think I would have been just as happy with plastic ones.

Ice cube trays
from Port orchard, wa
The first time I used these one broke, the handle bent and everything came apart. The other one has held up so far. My suggestion is use care when lifting the handle and run warm water over the tray before trying to remove the ice. It is NOT like the old metal ice trays.
