The walker in the photo looks very close to one that I need a seat for but it's not exactly the same so I have a couple questions...

1) What is the distance between the posts that it mounts to? And can you specify if the dimension you give is from center-to-center, outside-to-outside, etc.

2) How does it fold up or down? My mother is hoping to move from a wheelchair to a walker and I'm concerned about if she gets tired and has to sit down quickly without having time to find a place. I'm also considering if she can do it herself, while standing.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. . There are Velcro straps on each side of the seat and on one end that go around the walker legs to hold it up while not in use. The seat rests on the side bars of the walker while in use. This item measures 25 1/4" long x 8 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" high. We hope this information will be of help to you.
my mother has steel walker, I ordered the seat for her but thought after concerned there is no brakes on walker is this safe for her to use ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it does, but more important to Mr it allows me to use it as a vanity bench in my bathroom or bedroom. I have purchased two of them, and keep them mostly in the rooms that I have a use for them.
How do you put it on using the velcro?

BEST ANSWER: It is kind of tricky but you just wrap it around the walker bars. It does slide and you really have to be careful when sitting on it. I also found it was not easy to lay it flat as this picture shows. I personally would not buy it. My dad actually went and purchased a walker at Walgreens that has the actual seat kind with large wheels. It works great and it is easy to fold and take wherever you go. It also has a basket on it that you can put stuff in. I hope this helps.
what is the weight limit of the bench for the walker>
is this wide enough for a bariatric walker?
